The largest technology exhibition GITEX Technology Week 2019 was held in Dubai from October 6 to 10. Our company has been participating in this event for several years and this year RDP.RU once again participated as a sponsor.
But today we want to tell you about other innovations that aroused the great interest among visitors to the exhibition.
GITEX 2019 has attracted more than 150,000 IT professionals. The geography of the exhibition covered more than 90 countries. About 4,500 exhibiting companies demonstrated the developed solutions at their stands.
Next year, the world’s first floating “smart” police station without police will be opened at sea near the Mir’s archipelago in Dubai’s World Islands. Residents and guests of the Islands of the World will be able to take advantage of all the basic services, including reporting of crimes, traffic accidents, paying fines and many other public services provided at ordinary police stations.
At the Etisalat booth, the Lazareth Flying Motorcycle was introduced. This is a four-wheel mechanical design with a 5.2-liter Maserati V8 engine. Switching from drive mode to flight mode takes only 60 seconds.
LIFT Aircraft’s Hexa Drone is a joystick-controlled multicopter capable of lifting 1 person into the air.
It weighs about 200 kg and has 18 sets of screws, engines and batteries. In an emergency, flight controllers can control the drone remotely. The multicopter can reach speeds of more than 97 km / h and is equipped with floats that allow you to land on water if necessary.
During the GITEX 2019, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the provision of free Wi-Fi in the UAE in public buses, sea transport and bus stops.
Free Wi-Fi will be available on Dubai buses, intercity and exhibition buses. The service will also be available at 23 bus stations, 40 water vehicles, 18 sea transport stations and several air-conditioned bus stops. The service is planned to be operational before the start of Expo 2020.
Telecommunications operator Etisalat and the Swedish company Biohax International introduced microchips implanted in the human body. They plan to implant under the skin between the forefinger and thumb.
Various types of data can be loaded into a microchip the size of a rice grain, including medical history, passwords, etc. People who have implanted themselves do not have to carry credit and discount cards with them – all the necessary information will be stored in chips. Chip carriers can use them to turn on the ignition of the car or open the door of the house. The chip can be in the human body for 10 to 20 years, after which it will need to be replaced. The cost of the chip is 150 euros. There is a special offer for students — a 50 percent discount.
ANIMA RES introduced 3D medical animation along with an interactive augmented reality app and HoloLens glasses. This decision makes it possible to visualize the structure of the human body.
